WHAT IS CHEMICAL PEELING?
Chemical peeling is a highly efficient method to improve the skin condition. It is based upon the application of various substances, most often fruit acids, such as glycol acid or acetic trichloric acid. These acids are applied in various concentrations depending on the quality of the skin and the desired outcome. They separate surface or deeper skin layers. This is followed by a healing process in which the separated skin cells are replaced with new ones. The skin appearance after the healing is visibly improved.
THE TREATMENT
The treatment is performed by an experienced dermatologist. The application is easy and pleasant and does not exceed 15 minutes. The intensity and number of peeling procedures depend upon the desired outcome. For some types of peeling a home pre-conditioning with a special cream is necessary. Gels or creams are subsequently applied to cleansed skin varying according to the type of chemical peeling. Finally, the skin is treated with a suitable regeneration cream. After treatment the skin may be reddish and may slightly peel off subsequently. These signs subside within 3 days at the maximum. After the completion of the procedure it is necessary to protect the skin from exposure to sunlight.
In the seasons of intensive sunlight most types of chemical peelings are not performed. An exception is the chemical peeling Renophase Renopeel, which may be applied also during spring and summer without any problems. Nevertheless, even with this type of peeling it is necessary to protect the skin from exposure to sunlight using high sunscreen products for at least 2 days following the procedure.

RESULTS
Chemical peeling regenerates the skin which gains a visibly improved appearance. The skin is hydrated, smoothed and lifted. The production of new cells is stimulated and microcirculation is enhanced.
