The goal of this course is to learn the basics of giving First Aid to children from when they come home from the maternity hospital until adulthood. The course provides practical advice and procedures for handling emergency situations, including hands-on training.
Participants will learn about the most frequent causes for resuscitation across all age categories.
This special course is conducted by Dr. Jitka Činátlová, who is certified in the field
of pediatrics and neonatology and has professional experience from an intensive care and resuscitation unit for newborns and children. The course is available in group or individual sessions.
The course has a theoretical part and a practical part.
The theoretical part deals with the specifics of First Aid for children as well as adults, including the differences between them, the most frequent causes of resuscitation (injuries, poisoning, ingestion/inhalation of foreign objects, allergic reactions), proper communication with emergency phone lines, and the most frequent problems experienced in childhood (respiratory infection, fever, cramps, etc.).
The practical part will emphasize practising First Aid for children and demonstrations of differences from resuscitation of adults, as well as examples of some of the aforementioned situations. Infant, child, and adult dummies are available for use during training.
Everyone who wants to learn First Aid for children.
We especially recommend the course to all parents.
The courses are conducted separately in Czech and English.
