Teaching activities
Pre-graduate hands-on teaching in the field of ophthalmology, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University delivered in Czech and English, teaching international students under the Erasmus program. Post-graduate lectures for ophthalmologists and other specialties, specialized ophthalmology courses targeting intraocular inflammations and corneal diseases.

Projects, researches and scientific activities
Study into pathogenic mechanisms of immune-mediated intraocular inflammations in uveitis patients (research into the role of the microbiome, analysis of cytokines and other factors in intraocular fluids) and using an experimental model of autoimmune uveitis in mice, and into possibilities for therapeutic intervention.
Study into the role of the microbiome in the pathogenesis of intraocular lymphoma, systemic lymphoma, and CNS lymphoma.
Study into dynamic parameters of diabetes mellitus compensation in relation to serum biomarkers and intraocular fluid biomarkers in patients suffering from intraocular complications.
Study into the impact of probiotics in the treatment of non-infectious uveitis.
Research conducted in the framework of AZV MZ ČR, IGA MZ ČR, GA UK, SVV UK, PROGRES UK grant projects.
