I studied single-subject study of psychology at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. I graduated in clinical psychology which was the focus of the final state examination. I remained dedicated to this field and finalised my education with an attestation from clinical psychology.
I am a graduate of accredited courses in systemic therapy, artefiletics and art-therapy and integrated psychotherapy. I have completed courses in psychodiagnostic methods (e.g. Rorschach's method, Wechsler's intelligence scales, thematic apperception test, etc.) and I continue to deepen my specialization in postgraduate education courses.
I work with children, adolescents and adults in individual, couple or family psychotherapy. In my psychotherapeutic approach, I apply elements of several psychotherapeutic schools depending on the needs of the client and the nature of his/her problem. I work with clients with anxiety problems, psychosomatic manifestations, mood disorders, psychotic stress or personality issues.
When working with children, the game-therapeutic approach and art-therapeutic techniques prevail. In children, I focus on neurotic disorders, attention disorders, behavioural disorders.
I also deal with psychodiagnostics of all mentioned disorders, including diagnostics of abilities (intellectual abilities), autism spectrum disorders, school maturity, etc. in both Czech and English (with Czech and English versions of tests: MMPI-2, ADOS-2, WISC-III, WAIS-III).
Outside the professional field of health care, I like to be pedagogically active: I teach psychology subjects at universities focused mainly on general psychology, developmental, personality psychology, psychopathology and moral psychology; based on my field specialization I work as a lecturer (in courses both thematically specialized, in lifelong learning courses and at a university of the third age). In multidisciplinary teams, I participate in research activities in scientific research projects, I regularly participate in conferences and publish in professional journals.
