I am a doctor with clinical experience in the field of neurology. I consider the time devoted to an interview, supplemented by a careful clinical examination, to be the most important tool for quality care in neurology.
During the examination, I try to be the patient’s guide, I clarify and explain the symptoms so that the patient can consciously observe and influence them himself/herself. I believe that an educated patient, who can understand his/her health problems can also prevent them in the long run and can remove harmful elements from his/her life.
With patients, I try to find connections between the difficulties and the circumstances of their lives, find explanations for these difficulties and verify them using imaging methods, laboratory and electrophysiological examinations. When choosing treatments, I try to outline realistic expectations and offer comprehensive options for pharmacotherapy, physiotherapy and also psychotherapy, all available at our clinic.
Co-operation with specialists from the fields of rehabilitation and internal medicine, sometimes also psychiatry, closely follows the neurological care. In some cases, timely consultation with specialists in the fields of neurosurgery and orthopaedics is also crucial. Within the team of our clinic we have a therapist who can help to improve the patient’s health over the long-term.
