doc. MUDr. Jiří Hanáček, Ph.D.
Chief of Gynaecologist
Are you looking for a leading gynaecologist, a specialist with whom you can address your intimate issues with confidence and whom you are happy to approach with any “feminine” health issue? We offer our Gynaecology program to clients of Czech health insurance companies. It is also a good solution, for instance, for women who need to see a doctor more often during the year.
‘A woman is tenderer than a flower, but harder than a stone’, said Charles Baudelaire. While this is a funny truth, it may not be your everyday reality. Taking care of a woman's health and her reproductive possibilities, providing her with comprehensive care, combating painful or disharmonious conditions, bleeding and/or caring for her full sexual experiences - these are the tasks of gynaecology which is a core part of clinical medicine.
In obstetrics we take care of the woman, mother and her child during pregnancy and subsequently during childbirth.
At MY CLINIC, we are aware of the interconnectedness of individual medical disciplines, the fact that mental health goes hand in hand with physical health. Therefore, we also emphasize not only the scope of care provided, but also its quality, course and form.
We believe that a visit to a gynaecological outpatient clinic should be a stress-free experience for our patients and a meaningful way to recovery. Therefore we approach our patients individually and for each of them we reserve sufficient time for a detailed analysis of each medical problem. The environment of the outpatient is soothing, it has a barrier-free entrance and an exceptionally high-standard of fittings in outpatient and operating rooms with state-of-the-art examination and surgical equipment is a matter of fact.
We offer both preventive and highly specialized gynaecological care. At the same time, the prenatal care we provide is not limited to a physiologically ongoing pregnancy, it can also be used by women with potentially high-risk pregnancies.
We perceive a woman in the context of her natural life cycles, therefore we do not underestimate the disorders of the menstrual cycle, we help women entering menopause and explain conditions that she can expect through the period of menopause.
We pay attention to regular preventive examinations during which we focus on the exclusion or early detection of any cancer indications and carefully check for any breast disease.
The great advantage of MY CLINIC is the wide range of other medical specialities directly at the clinic. Of course, there is a connection to our colleagues from other fields: we co-operate mainly with rehabilitation, immunology, dermatology, and radiology.
We have the state-of-the-art and high-quality equipment, including an ultrasound scanner, a colposcope and a foetal condition monitor (CTG).
The pelvic floor is a system of muscle layers and ligaments that are spread like a net between the coccyx, the pubic symphysis and the ischial tuberosities. The pelvic floor has fundamental importance in a woman's ability to conceive a child. Likewise, it is significant during the course of pregnancy, and plays an important role in childbirth, and in the postpartum period.
Pelvic floor dysfunction may manifest as incontinence (unwanted leakage of urine) or may cause pelvic, sacral or coccyx pain, menstrual pain, painful intercourse or functional infertility.
At MY CLINIC, the gynaecologists and physiotherapist work together on pelvic floor therapy. The physiotherapist then teaches the client to be aware of her pelvic floor – to visualise it, relax and then to strengthen it properly. An important tool at this point is the MYO 200, which detects the quality of the contraction via a graphic recording. The client then has better awareness of how these muscles work.
